In order to test or validate a classifier you can upload an excel file using the option "classification" or "classification+verification".
The "classification" loads a new test or validation file, which will be automatically categorized by the classifier. The results can then be viewed in VoC Classify (in Statistics) or extracted (Export data).
You can find the example file, MyFirstClassifier - to be classified.xlsx, attached to this article right in the bottom of it.
When importing test files for a classifier that has too few trainings or which has pending online trainings a warning message will be shown. You can skip this message and proceed or you can stop the import and add some more training.
Once the upload ends, the uploaded texts are added to the classification queue. You can find the queue in the "List uploads" section.
If you chose "classification+verification" the imported texts need to be verified online. This option loads the cases to VoC Classify and automatically categorizes them. Then the cases are available in the tool for online verification (In ”Verification texts” menu item).
If you go to the "Verification texts" menu, you can see a list of imported texts.
Options "Approve", "Disapprove" and "Remove" are available on the right side of the screen.
Select "approve" if you agree with the classification applied and you want that the text will be added to the training set.
Select "disapprove" if you do not agree with the classification applied and you want to use the text to train the classifier for another category. The text will be moved to the online "training text" section.
Select "remove" if you do not want to use further that text.
You can also choose the buttons on top and at the bottom of the list to apply your selection to all texts currently shown on your screen.
