Creating a new Survey from scratch will happen mostly when you are new to VoC Feedback and no Surveys have been created yet. After having used the tool for a while you will often use the function to copy an existing Survey. Both possibilities are described here.
Create a new Survey
To create a new Survey click on the large Add Survey button at the right side of the survey overview page.
You will be prompted asking to choose the unit where the new Survey should be added, and for the name of the new Survey.
Please notice that when you add a new Survey from Surveys page, this new Survey will be added to unassigned Touchpoint at Customer Journey View.
After clicking the Add Survey button the new Survey will be shown in the list of Surveys. Now you can click the Edit button and edit further settings or add Questions.
Create a new Survey by copying an existing one
Creating a new Survey results in an empty Survey with default Global Settings. If you already have Surveys in the system with specific settings and predefined options you would like to use then you may copy a Survey instead of creating a new one from scratch. To do so search for the Survey you want to copy in the Survey overview and click on the Copy button.
After you have clicked the Copy button you will be prompted to choose a unit where you want to copy the Survey to, the channels you want to copy, and the name of the Survey.
After clicking the Copy Survey button the new Survey will be shown in the list of Surveys. The main difference is that all Questions, settings and templates are copied instead of starting with a blank Survey.
Note: When you copy the Survey channel, customer responses (Questionnaires) are not being copied to new Survey. But, its quarantine rules are copied as well. If original quarantine rule has a condition based on the original survey, then this quarantine condition in the copied survey needs to be modified and adjusted to a newly copied survey.
