Surveys can be set to the different states described below. For more information on Questionnaire states used in the description, please see here.
| Active | Survey is active. Any imported records will be sent immediately and customers will be able to provide responses. |
| Paused |
Survey is paused. You can still import new customers, but Questionnaires will be left in created state and invites will not be sent. Customers with Questionnaires in started state will be able to complete them. |
| Stopped |
Survey is stopped. You can not import new customers. The import will receive the failed state with an explanation in the error file. In case you switch the Survey back to active, created Questionnaires will become invited, which means that customers with Questionnaires in started state will be able to proceed to complete them. |
| Deleted |
Survey is deleted from the list of Surveys unless you click Show deleted surveys inside Survey list, or access it directly with its URL. You can not import new customers while the Survey is in this state. The import will receive the failed state with an explanation in the error file. In case you switch the Survey back to active, created Questionnaires will become invited, which means that customers with Questionnaires in started state will be able to proceed to complete them. Survey data in deleted state won't be available for export unless you change the Survey to any other state. |
It is recommended to use only active and paused states for normal daily operations.
